The first grave is that of Hugh Kipatrick. He was the second husband of Thurza Portbury (she is buried at Corinella Cemetery in the Shire of Bass, Victoria).

Hugh is buried alone at Karrakatta Cemetery. He is buried in Presbyterian Section DA, Grave 603.
